Read help files - Outputs the help files such as this one to the screen, printer or disk. Access general info - allows change of pharmacy address, phone number, ID numbers etc. Reindex system - allows correction of index errors which are usually due to power failures. Set flags - allows setting of flags which determine various aspects of how the pharmacy system operates. Transfer prescription - Allows input of the information necessary to transfer a prescription to another pharmacy or from another pharmacy. Read in sig codes - Updates the sig codes in the computer by frequency of use. Use this when the sig code file becomes too large to be loaded by the program. Edit help screens - There are ten user defined help screens invoked from anywhere within the program by pressing the F keys. This utility allows the user to edit these screens. Refresh Rx counts - The computer keeps number of prescriptions and number of dollars value of these prescriptions by customer, doctor, drug, insurance company and by price category. This utility allows these numbers to be reset to those totals between two user defined dates. Browse files - This allows the user to view the data files: Doctors Drugs Customers Preauths Insurance Companies Sigs Codes Transfers Prescriptions Transactions Unpaid Transactions Read in price updates - allows update of AWP and cost prices from a computer file obtained from the pharmacy supplier computer system. This utility has its own more detailed help file. Set Pharmacist initials - Allows editing of the initials allowed for pharmacists filling prescriptions on this computer. Set price structure - Allows set up of any number of price formulas based on cost or AWP to be used in calculating retail prices of drugs. Merge customer files - Allows merging of two customer files inadvertently created for the same person. If output is set to Disk, HCFA 1500s will go there, otherwise they will always go to the printer. The user also has the option to only preview the number of prescriptions and amount of rebillings rather than to actually create the bills in order to check settings and numbers of forms and/or electronic billing time needed for the project. Post DME payments - lets the user input amounts paid for DMEs dispensed by insurance company and by patient. DMEs are identified by patient name and by date dispensed. Print PA forms - lets the user input prescription number for which a Medicaid Prior Authorization form is needed and computer prints the form to the printer or to a disk file. Auxillary Utilities: Calendar - displays a calendar page for any date and calculates number of days between any two dates. Change screen scroll message - changes the message displayed when the computer screen scrolls due to inactivity. Check system speed - displays a speed index number which can be used to compare the speeds of two computer systems. Edit disk output file - Allows use of a word processor to view or edit reports output to a disk file.
