It will be noted that her English is different in kind from that of Daphne of the Frasier household. Another possible origin of the phrase has to do with the fact that in history commonly marriages among royalty were arranged between countries to ensure peace, so that the Queen was usually from a different country than the King. The phrase "The Queen's English" was thus a source of pride for any country lucky enough to have a Queen from England.
